Responsibilities
- supervising work carried out by the seaman and the motorman,
- ongoing monitoring of the navigation equipment's operational status,
- responsibility for the towing team and adequate equipping of the unit,
- handing over orders from the deck and engine departments for processing by the office,
- monitoring expiry dates of certificates and inspections; notifying the maintenance department of the need for an inspection at least one month in advance,
- Reporting faults and repairs to supervisors.
